It can be found in the 1877 catalogue, but the patent date marked on the back is April 9, 1872. The handle consists of a backplate, attached handle and a thumb latch. It is all highly decorated with geometric Eastlake style designs and a stippled background. The plate measures 9 3 4"l x 2"w. It is marked on the back with the patent date. The handle part is 5"l.
