They have a certain amount of wear to the patina consistent with age and use and would probably clean up to reveal the brass although I've left them as I found them as I personally like the blackness to the metal

There is a small area of fabric where the pile of the chenille has been pushed the opposite way

Beautifully painted with a dramatic dark blue background, against the orange, on canvas, the painting is signed but not dated. Measurements are 56cm L x 36cm H. The painting is in excellent condition with no damage to the canvas.
