Many of them predate Photoshop – the effects were created manually back then

long before the advent of Photoshop

including these pictures from various other places around the country

Each one requires many hours of computer retouching and enhancement to bring out the color and detail that underwater photography often lacks

These images are photographed in swimming pools in and around Los Angeles
