The two films date from 1971 and were released for showing together at the pictures by Ember Films

"Captain January" starring Shirley Temple from 1936 is the large title printed on the reverse of the film  poster due to wartime paper shortage and is the earlier of the films

Best music score (John Addison) and Best Screenplay (John Osborne)

Story of Robin Hood blackboard On the left hand bottomArnaldo Putzu as always puts a great deal of thought into his work even when borrowing heavily as here in this 1972 rerelease based on the 1951 original deign. Putzu has adopted the white feathers for the arrows in the quiver and gone for a much darker green hue as befits Sherwood Forest. The portrait work is sharp and the title stands out well in red as apose to the green titling of 1951. Tiny hole at bottom right corner.
